The purpose of the Enamel Arts Foundation is to promote awareness, understanding, and appreciation of modern enameling as a vibrant art form.

Building the Collection
The Foundation advances its mission by collecting, preserving, researching, documenting, and interpreting its collection of modern and contemporary enamels.

Sharing the Resources
The Foundation serves the public by developing exhibitions and touring them to museums throughout the country; by positioning itself as a “lending library,” extending loans from its collection to museums nationwide; and by sponsoring educational programs for the enrichment of the public.

Preserving History
The Foundation tells the story of enameling in this country by publishing books and catalogues tracing the field’s history; by maintaining an archive of artists’ papers, letters, photographs, and other pertinent documents; and by providing information to the public about modern and contemporary enameling.

Envisioning the Future
The Foundation envisions a bright future for enameling as it plans a museum space in which modern and contemporary enamels may be seen and enjoyed by future generations.
